But before we get to the festivities, let's take a look at what I've been up to. Hopefully these photos will make up for the lack of updates.
There was a local fair just down the street and I saw a jumping castle for the first time. It looked so fun so I had to try it out. I don't look too excited in the photo but I loved it so much I couldn't stop asking Mommy to take me back for the rest of the week!
Sophie went with me to playgroup for the first time a few weeks ago. Since playgroup is during her morning naptime, she was EXHAUSTED by the time we left and fell asleep mid-munch in the stroller.
Here I am after a day (it was really only an hour) at school!
Here's Sophie trying to get more milk out of the bottle that is already empty.
More please, Mommy!
Here I am again at childcare (which Mommy calls "school"). The first few times she dropped me off "I cry like a baby" but by the 4th time I was happy to have a play!
My first day at my 2nd sports class--Humpty Squad. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive at the start, but once it got going I didn't want it to stop.
Having a play with Joshie at the Children's Festival.
And what luck!! My 2nd jumping castle experience in 2 weeks! Here's the slide bit.
And the jumping bit. Or in my case, the falling bit!
My 3rd drawing that actually looks like what it's supposed to be. (The first was a circle, the second was a happy face.) Can you guess what it is? It's a rainbow!
This is my friend Natalie. She is my new best friend (after Sophie, of course!) because she is my only female friend. Even though she is a year older than me, we get along so well!
Sophie walked over to a little corner between the table and the barrier when Mommy wasn't looking, so I quickly grabbed all the pillows I could find to block her in. Mommy said I was being a bully.
The poster child for Daddy's shop.
I hope I'm getting paid for this free advertising!
I've finally discovered the leisurely sport of foot-mouth.
Another playdate with Nat.
I'll miss you! Come back next week!
"Hello?!" Sophie loves to hold phones to her ear now.
Human choo-choo train in sports class!
Giving my full attention to the teacher about the rules for the next game.
At 11 months and 3 days, Sophie started walking!!
Happy Halloween! My sis and I were a sushi set this year. Sophie was salmon nigiri and I was a wasabi/soy sauce dipping plate.
Sophie's first day of swimming class!
Go Bruins!!! (My second Halloween costume because every diva needs an outfit change.)
The cool obstacle course from Humpty squad.
Trying the backfloat for the first time... I was a bit nervous so I had one foot sticking straight into the air.
Ahh... now I'm more relaxed. Check out my great form!
Getting better at my kicking!
Look mom, no teacher!
Enjoying some bubble fun!
Reading/making up a story all by myself.
Sophie munches on some watermelon, I sing like Ariel... and then let out a big burp.
Sophie the artist!
And now for the fun part... Sophie's big party!! The theme was "Yo Gabba Gabba!"
This was the invite.
Mommy didn't get a chance to take any photos of the balloons (there were over 80 of them!!) or anything else really, but here is a collective bunch of photos from different friends that will sum up the party. Enjoy the pictorial minus the words. I'm too pooped to write more!
